Evilspeak – I watched it so you don’t have to

Evilspeak-poster

Evilspeak is a movie that shows what happens when you bully a computer nerd with access to ancient occult texts. It was also one of Anton LaVey’s favorite movies as he believed it was a good portrayal of Satanism. But mostly, Evilspeak is a bad movie.

Universal’s Shared Monster Universe

Universals Avengers

Universal has stated that they want to make a “Shared Universe” for their monsters.  This could be a good thing, or a very bad thing.

The Slender Man Murders

Slender Man

It appears that a couple deranged and stupid little girls decided that it was a good idea to stab one of their friend in order to become agents of Slender Man.  Much like every other crime, people are looking for who to blame, in this case, I’ve seen a couple of articles that are blaming Slender Man.  “Who is Slender Man?”, you ask.

Friday the 13th: Jason Takes the Highlands

Jason Takes the Highlands

Over the years, we’ve seen Jason Voorhees kill, seemingly be killed, and then rise to kill again, with little to know explanation as to why. But I think I’ve figured it out.

Slender Man is, The Enemy

Slender Man - Enemy - Jake Gyllenhaal - Poster

I keep seeing this poster popping up in my feeds. I have no idea what it’s about, or who is in it besides Jake Gyllenhaal. All I know, is that the poster looks like it came from a deck of Creepypasta Playing cards.

The scene from Jurassic Park that could have been

Eldritch Park Jurassic Park 3D was amazing, and the movie still stands as having some of the best special effects I have ever seen. Even on an Imax screen, there were barely any issues with it. I really wish that modern movie makers would look back at what they used to make and see how awesome what they are making now could be. There is one thing I would think about changing though…

He’s Watching

I’ve had this open in a tab for about a month, and just never got around to watching it. “He’s Watching” is a Slender Man movie, made for the Student Film Network Festival. The acting is a little worse than you’ll find in Marble Hornets, but it’s not unwatchable. My only real complaint, is that it follows the Marble Hornets formula of scribbling on paper, then going to an abandoned building and electronics cutting out all the time. If you’ve got 17 minutes you aren’t using, go ahead and watch it, otherwise, feel free to keep this tab open for a month or so until you do.

Whatever happened to monster movies?

What happened to monster movies? Specifically, the “nature gone wrong” genre.  Growing up, I had all kinds of movies about various parts of nature going crazy and eating everybody.  Sure, some of them were pretty terrible, but they were still fun movies.
