I hated Tomb Raider growing up. It was the jumping puzzles really. I hate games where you have to back flip off a tightrope, then do a somersault over a fence, and finally land on a 4 inch square or else the room explodes and you have to do it all over again. I saw Tomb Raider for sale on Steam the other day, and figured I’d give it a shot. It got great reviews, and didn’t really look like it was just back flipping off shit so you could land on other shit. I just finished it the other day, and I wasn’t disappointed. Really, I quite liked it. I thought the quick time actions were a little lame, but otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed the game. There are some people who didn’t enjoy the game though, and for some of the dumbest reasons. As a warning, there will be some spoilers ahead.
I saw this one on Reddit, and I think it would make an awesome game, if it was done right.
Sony and Microsoft are both showing off their next gen consoles. Microsoft is taking a lot of heat for theirs, and rightly so. Charging people to play used or borrowed games, a camera that never turns off, and a requirement of being almost always online are all reasons for me not to buy one…
But what are reasons to buy a new console? Personally, I’m pretty much back to being a PC gamer, but there are some things that could draw me back to them. Consoles are nice after all. I’m not completely anti console, I just don’t like anything that I’ve seen about the new ones yet. What would make me interested you ask? Well…
Trying out some things to record gameplay, figured I’d also use this to show off my Slender Man.
Also looking for suggestions on a set up for recording from my Xbox and such.
I’ve been playing on the MinerAP server for a little while now. The rules are pretty simple. Don’t do things that will mess up the server, don’t cheat, steal and kill what ever you can. Sure, there are groups that have banded together, but it still leads to a lot of paranoia. I’ve had to move my secret stashes twice now after people have found them and raided my stuff. (What they could, that is…)
