Venture Brothers is coming back

And I’m probably not going to watch it. I know, some of you are wondering what the hell is wrong with me. The new season looks amazing, and I want to watch it, really, I do. You see, it’s not my fault, it’s the fault of some programming director over in Adult Swim that I’m not going to watch it.

You see, it’ll start off fine. They’ll advertise the schedule a bunch, and I’ll see it posted on a ton of websites, so I’ll know exactly what date and time to tune in. This will be good for the first couple of episodes, but then they’ll make a change. For some reason, Venture Brothers will take a break for a month, then it will come back at a different time for three episodes, then another, longer break, and then they’ll show the last three episodes at the original time slot, but different day.

Anybody else remember the good old days? Back when a season was over twenty episodes that ran continuously, every week, only taking breaks for major sporting events, presidential speeches, or the rare miniseries. A time when you knew exactly when to turn on your tv to see your favorite shows. A time when there was more on TV than reruns of Law and Order and NCIS.

Can we go back to that? I like watching my favorite shows, but if I never know when they are on, I’m not going to see them. Hell, I didn’t even know about the last season of Futurama until it hit Netflix.
